David knew about access. In Psalm 32:1-2 he wrote:

” Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit.”

Access is simply moving ahead to what is next. You see, if you want to live the Christian life and survive it, you have to keep moving forward in faith. Paul says in Romans 5:1-2, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith…” The word “through” means movement. You cannot be justified in God without moving in faith. You must accept the grace of God, and know that you have access to it by faith. Now, let us see this: “Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace.” Peace is what you have when you know that you are justified.

The whole purpose of God is to give us peace! Do you have it?

Notice that Paul says, “Peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have access by faith into this grace which we now stand.” The good news here is that the work of the cross is already done. All of this is THROUGH HIM. It all comes down to this simple understanding: ACCESS, moving foward through faith. The point is that you are not just MOVING, but that you are moving through faith.
