ELEVEN MEN AND FIVE WOMEN

ELEVEN MEN

After you complete a mission trip where the glory of God is manifested, you seem to feel out-of-place, even in your home town. These eleven men and five women experienced something supernatural that will last for the rest of their lives.

Most of the time Edward Kersey is not telling you what he is thinking, but the wheels are turning. I know that Ed is going to fullfill his call and that God has great plans for him. This has been a good friend for many years. I have a call to see him through with his call and his place in ministry. You would be honored to know him.

Glenn, on the other hand, tells with his face exactly what he is thinking. His countenance changed with every revelation. He spoke about life and ministry and power and what is next. You cannot find someone more fine and refined than Glenn. You would be proud to be sitting close to this man

Then there was Bill, quiet in his ways, gentle, always considering what to do with the situation in his life. In every meeting he said exactly what was in his heart. The past is gone, the future looks good and achievable for Bill. If you know quietness and strength, you know Bill. I hope he returns to Brazil. <

Now, James was quite a Christian! At every turn, he jumped into the arms of God. I believe his life was before him every day in Bible Study. I have never seen someone so intense about getting with God. I know that the Lord has a plan for his life and it will affect the lives of many.

Next there is David. He now knows that he cannot return to the regular way of doing Jesus. Something snapped in his mind and in a moment his heart was opened to heaven and his countenance changed forever. In this man there is a man of God yet to be known by others. I believe that all who know David will hear from him with a different tone of voice and a new heart for Jesus.

Allyn is one of a kind: quiet, tender, intelligent and on time. This trip was God’s appointment with him. As the Lord began to work with him, his mind returned to many years past and he saw the love of God being poured out for him. Rarely will you find a man whose mind will give in so quickly to the Holy Spirit. His mind did it.

David S. will be remenbered forever. I do not understand why the devil chose this man to kill, but the enemy lost the battle. Here is a person of integrity. His wife saw him at the airport and I could tell that she knew he was different. It takes moments such as we had in Brasil to come to the kind of life-changing conclusions David S. came to. Now, all of us will know a different man who when discipled will not lose the Word. He is sure and we are blessed for having had him in Brazil.

If you have never heard Norman sing, you have lost a chance to be touched. He not only sings but continually composes songs, and when he sings the Holy Spirit comes down at the first notes of the song. His singing is truly heavenly. He is a man called of God. He is a man on a mission to serve. There are many churches waiting to have a man like this to preach and sing. We will never forget Norman.

Bob shared Jesus for the first time. I did not hear stories about how many fish he caught or about how to fish. He had his mind on the ministry every night and he if did not , Mary would tell him to get with it! It was a joy, a blessing, and an event to travel with Bob. He was easy and gentle and the Lord spoke through this man on this trip.

Reid is a young man who is planning to return to Brasil for six months. If this is not a sign of the power of God at work to define someone, I don’t know what it is. Reid found a smile on his face and is smilling every day now. I believe that Reid is called to serve in the Kingdom of God, and will be a blessing for thousands throughout his lifetime.

Edwin had to come a long way to discover how blessed he really is. Little needs were met and big one were met in oreder to make it possible for him to make this trip. I will always believe that Edwin has a new life coming to him and that the Lord is healing his back, which is connected to his mind.

NOW THE FIVE WOMEN.

If you met Deborah in the past, you would not believe how much God is doing in her life at this very moment. She came to Brasil and fasted for nine days, seeking the face of God. The power of God began a great work of transformation. You need to meet her. She is going to serve in Brasil for 6 months, and as a nurse she will do great things for the Lord.

Pastor Pam of Kansas would be elected Bishop by anyone. This is how we all felt as she shared, prayed, walked, and cried with us, and preached a powerful message that changed us all. She was desperate to be renewed and to have her first love for the Lord restored, and the Lord filled her cup to overflowing on this trip.

Mary will be remenbered as the most eager and enthusiastic of the bunch. She ministered in power in this trip and God helped her to discover her gifts in the Holy Spirit. We are blessed by this lady in this ministry. Ido not mind to tell you that Mary is the Chairperson for this Ministry.

Rachel is spending 6 months in Brasil learning to submit her mind and her will to find out what the Lord has planned for her life. It hasn’t been easy, but there is a confidence, a peace, and a beautiful surrender developing in her. The second 6 months will yield much fruit and open up many new possibilities to her.

Finally, Anita. In her quietness you could hear the cry of her heart. She shared with us all she was going through and the Lord opened her eyes to see many things with His eyes. I believe that anyone who knows this lady will be blessed by her spirit and her honesty. We all were blessed by her tremendously. We love you Anita!!

THESE WERE THE 16 WHO ATTENDED THE FALL MISSION TRIP WITH RBM-2005.

  1. Thank you, Rick, for an anointed trip to your mission. Thank you for one of the most intense spiritual experiences of my life–our worship daily, your teaching, practicing praying for one hour daily, ministering to people in your community and many area churches, getting to know your wonderful staff–just loving the Brazilian people. Of the four trips to Santa Barbara, this team was the hungriest for more of God that I’ve met. What wonderful people who are going to help change the world, all with your help. Praise God for your Christian heritage. We love you and want the world to know you!!
