INDIAN gods TALKING TO OUR GOD?

1 – The centrality of Jesus Christ as the Son of God is critically important to the work of salvation. Without His death and resurrection there is no forgiveness of sins.

In Acts 4:12, Luke writes, “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” You can talk with God in different languages. God saves in different languages, but He saves only one way: THE CROSS.

2 – When Jesus dialogued with Nicodemus, He said, “Truly, truly I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from or where it is going; so is every one who is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:2,5-8)

One may not enter the kingdom of God by being born into Islam, Hinduism or any other ideology. The only way is to be born anew of the Holy Spirit, who testifies of Jesus Christ as the Son of God.

3 – Theologians from India and other countries are infiltrating our seminaries to preach “another Jesus.” However, the Jesus of whom the Apostle John testified is very clear: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12-13)

There is no salvation outside of the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. His death and resurrection holds eternity for everyone. Do you believe this in your life?

4 – Perhaps you have believed those theologians and your life and ministry have no power and grace. When the John the Baptist began to announce the coming of the Messiah, Mark 1:14-5 tells us, “And after John had been taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.’”

Do you believe that through repentance you can be forgiven? If you repent today, God will forgive you and bless you abundantly in life and ministry. Do you repent of all heresy today which negates the centrality of Jesus Christ as the crucified and resurrected Son of God?

5 – Jesus Himself proclaimed salvation to one crucified beside Him. At the cross, when one of the two criminals asked Jesus to remember him when He came into His kingdom, the answer was,“Truly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” (Luke 23:43).

Will you be able to reach paradise with Jesus Christ if you believe that Mohamed or an Indian god saves just the same as Jesus Christ saves? Think about that!

6 – This movement is within our seminaries teaching that someone from another religion such as Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism or another religion can access the God of Abraham. They are teaching that Indian gods such as Shiva or Devi can provide eternal life. Do they know who Shiva is? Can Buddha lead someone into eternity? Can Mohammed give you eternal life? IF YOU BELIEVE THIS AFTER CONFESSING YOUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST, THEN, READ HEBREWS CHAPTER 6.

7 – Make sure you will choose carefully where to go for a seminary education. Make sure you will not leave your education in the hands of unbelieving, rebellious teachers who have nothing in them but lies. Make a good choice! Your future depends on it!!

  1. Rick, a few years ago the Dahlai Lama, the Buddhist spiritual leader, spoke at the graduation of Emory University. I wrote the president and complained about using a pagan as a speaker at Emory, and was promptly chastised “how dare you criticize such a great man of peace?”. And last year one of the professors (an Indian by birth) surprised my lay leader and I at Ellabell UMC (a CEU course in the South GA Conference) said that he knew many holy men and that Jesus Christ was not the only way to salvation, but A way. I don’t suppose the good professor took seriously Jesus’ words “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” The spirit of anti-Christ is so prevalent in the seminaries today and too many of the young ministers haven’t had a Holy Ghost experience of salvation or baptism of the Holy Spirit. They are young and impressionable to the point they’ll swallow anything. If a young man or woman comes to me asking my advice for a seminary, I will point them to Asbury, Fuller, or a few others, but by and large the mainline seminaries have indeed become “cemeteries” of faith and a hot bed of unbelief and heresy!

  2. All the insistence on political correctness has led to “tolerance” which amounts to [their] intolerance of [our]intolerance of their totally unbiblical theology. The “in” thing is to take the New Age approach and accept everyone and everything as having equal value. How anyone could ever surmise that this is “the Christian way” certainly didn’t get it from the Bible. But there again, who accepts the Bible as a final authority any more? Especially at most seminaries. When you undermine God’s Word, you’re free to think and say just about anything you want!

Some will remember that Marcion in the 3rd century actually removed all references to judgment, wrath, vengence, etc., from the Scriptures and planned to have his own version. This was one of the reasons early church fathers felt the need to canonize the Scriptures into the New Testament as we know it today–to prevent the wacko versions from gaining respect. However, we do still have our Marcionites! and their number seems to be increasing daily.
This enormous amount of Biblical illiteracy leaves people totally vulnerable to the Sylvia Browns and other psychics of the day who mesmerize the people with demonic revelations and, at the same time, spreading a false gospel of “any, or even no religion is fine. We’re all going to heaven anyway.”

  3. Rick,
It becomes more and more frightening what is being taught allowed and heard in our seminaries today as well as in some of our churches. I have become quite frankly intolerable to hear over and over untruths being spoken and acts being carried out in the name of Jesus. There are not only professors, of our seminaries, but some pastors of huge congregations, leaders of our young people, I have found it in our Christian Radio stations around our areas, that are leading our young people right into the pit, telling them all the time, Jesus, loves you and so do we, but it really isn’t of God, it is of Satan, and the are doing it in the Name of Jesus…. more and more today we as Christians, need to dig into the word, we need to know the truths, as Christians, we can no longer sit back and just be satisfied, with being taught, or FED by others. We as the body of Christ, need to, we HAVE to get into the word, I challenge all of my fellow Christians, to please, Go to a church that teaches the word, only listen to those Ministers, that teach you, the word of Jesus, the truth, and know for yourselves what teachings, you are hearing are truths or untruths. Because, if you don’t us as a body, are going to be lead straight into Satan’s pit and fire. WE have to know in the coming days, who is a prophet and who is a liar. We must spread the gospel to all, the nations; Christ commissioned us to spread the good news to all the earth. WE Speak to NATIONS, get out of our pews and into the streets, into homes, into other countries, I do believe, God is bringing a great revival to all the land. But, if we don’t get ready and stand up and say okay “Here I am Lord: Send me, then who is going to go?????? I don’t know about any of you, but I really don’t have a minute that I need to waist on any more trivial stuff. God has called me, I know this without a doubt, I can chose to go where he leads me, to go to Brazil , to travel singing and sharing Gods word in the United States, we have to reach OUR OWN NOW. I didn’t listen at 14 when Christ called me to the mission field. At 50 I have answered his call. I don’t want to stay behind, from the hard work, from the glory, nor am I afraid of the outcome. I just want to stand up and sing, and shout, WAKE UP, people get ready there’s a train a coming and I will be on it. I already got my ticket. Come on All my Brothers and sisters, put it all down, and follow Christ. Help this ministry, I can tell any of you that do not know Rick and Mary Lucy Bonfim, never will you encounter a more on fire for God, couple, with such a passion to take care of and teach, and feed, the staving and dying. But they have to be the most wonderful examples as I think God could have found ad least me for sure. Thank You for listening. There is a strand coming and Michael and I are thinking…

  4. Continuation of above Comments..written earlier on Jan 3, 2005…

and praying very hard about the future and what Path God is taking us. He will give us the answers as he will give you the answers, but we have to be willing to step out in faith, and follow that call whether it is in our local area, Brazil, Australia, no matter where he is going to lead us, I do not know what direction we will be taken. But I am sure of one thing, as I read more and more of the entries, Rick writes, in his journal, my soul is stirred, and the urgency in the message is clear and should be to all Christians, as we turn on our T.V. to the news across the nations each and every day. One thing is completely clear, we must move with Gods will and become more and more in tuned to what he is telling us, and we must move on faith the path will be direct when it is from God. There will be no doubt, when his calling comes. Thank all of you that are answering the call of the King, and as Christians, we need to take our nation back, our children back, and reach as many as we can for Christ. Remebering something that many people forget. Christ didn’t reach the masses in a building, he reached them by stepping out into their world. We must get off our pews, and do the same. Love in Christ, I pray everyone will have a wonderful year full of Gods blessings, and that all will listen to his still small voice, for he is talking but if we don’t take the time to listen, we will miss what he has in store for us, as well as the work he wants us to do.
    In Christ,
    Judy Mason
