THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL
Obedience that comes from faith is really the way to move forward in the Lord. In Hebrews 4:2 Paul explains that “hearing that is not combined with faith” does not profit.
The faith of the Roman church was so great that it was being reported all over the world. Paul is referring to that kind of faith in Romans 1:8 when he
writes,” First, I thank God through our Lord Jesus Christ, for your faith is being reported all over the World.”
What I am trying to say to you is that faith has legs. Paul’s success in ministry really began to take place when he moved in faith within his call. You begin to understand this concept when he says in Romans 1:16, “I am not ashamed of the gospel for IT is the power….”
You see, we measure the power of the gospel in relation to our understanding of it. It is our normal way of comprehending power. But for many years Paul understood and preached the gospel; he still did not arrive to a point of unleashing the full power of the gospel until close to the end of his ministry.
Acts 19:10-12 says,”This took place for two years, so that all who lived in Asia heard the word of the Lord, both jews and Greeks. God was performing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that handherchiefs or aprons were even carrried from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out.”
It was at the end of his ministry when God really began to use Paul most powerfully, not for his own fulfillment, but for the glory of God. When Asia heard the word, it was not because Paul went there to preach it. Asia heard it because the gospel went there by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit actually prevented Paul from entering Asia twice in the first missionary journey. Now, the gospel went to Asia simply by basic faith that produced power - great power!
Faith has the potential to unleash the power of God on anything that fall within the perfect will of God. Move in faith and you will please God! Believe in your heart that God can do it and He will do it!
How do you move in faith? Act believing. Sing believing. Pray believing. Preach believing. Live believing. Do you believe this? I do. “It is not by might, nor by power, but My Spirit,” says the Lord!

Scripture says “the Word of God is powerful and active”
Our work is to believe, have faith and speak His Word in all that we do.

Praise the Lord for His Word! The older I get the more I see happening because God has worked His ministry in me. Now is the time to carry forth the Gospel to the world even more than before!
